"SCOTOMAVILLE 01.06 - Hieroglyphics REFLECTION" and What It Teaches Asxer Owners About Blind Spots
and What It Teaches Asxer Owners About Blind Spots
On 2022-07-08, Daniel Comp published "SCOTOMAVILLE 01.06 - Hieroglyphics REFLECTION" on YouTube. GB places it in Mission 2, Scotomas: Seeing What You Haven't Seen, one of five missions in the whole-library reading What 13 Years of Video Says to SI.
What the video shows
On the Oregon Trail, Daniel uses Israel's escape and the pioneers to show that history is an excellent teacher if you pay attention. He tells how something kept him recording across many trips. Choosing your ideas is choosing your direction, and the reflection makes that visible.
That in fact is a choice you make and a direction you take based on the ideas you choose.
You should remember from the earlier reflection episode — uh, five — the story of the potter in Philadelphia.
From the YouTube description: Think about the power of storytelling. (full description on YouTube)
The asxer angle
An asxer gives an owner the same practice in a new form. Because it answers from what the owner has actually written and recorded, the owner can ask it what they have said before and notice what they keep missing. Re-watching yourself is still the method; the asxer just makes the archive easy to search.
In the books: Trilogy 01.06, Prime 041.
