"SCOTOMAVILLE 01.15 - Curves REFLECTION" and What It Teaches Asxer Owners About Blind Spots

and What It Teaches Asxer Owners About Blind Spots

On 2022-09-20, Daniel Comp published "SCOTOMAVILLE 01.15 - Curves REFLECTION" on YouTube. GB places it in Mission 2, Scotomas: Seeing What You Haven't Seen, one of five missions in the whole-library reading What 13 Years of Video Says to SI.

What the video shows

Outside Truth or Consequences at Elephant Butte, Daniel reflects on the Curves episode after the pandemic years. "Life is what happens between our plans and most journeys are full of curves." Watching his older video is the scotoma method doing its work. Behind it are the frustrations of the Pacific Northwest no longer fitting and flies landing on his face while he draws, which Daniel calls “Self-observation that I believe will help some of you on your own journey.”

Life is what happens between our plans and most journeys are full of curves.

Welcome back to another reflection video of Scotomaville.

The asxer angle

An asxer gives an owner the same practice in a new form. Because it answers from what the owner has actually written and recorded, the owner can ask it what they have said before and notice what they keep missing. Re-watching yourself is still the method; the asxer just makes the archive easy to search.

In the books: Trilogy 01.15.

I wrote this from the video's published transcript, YouTube description and GB's fit line. I did not watch the video.
