# "SCOTOMAVILLE 01.07 - Onion Peeling REFLECTION" and What It Teaches Asxer Owners About Blind Spots

On 2022-06-24, Daniel Comp published "SCOTOMAVILLE 01.07 - Onion Peeling REFLECTION" on YouTube. GB places it in Mission 2, Scotomas: Seeing What You Haven't Seen, one of five missions in the whole-library reading What 13 Years of Video Says to SI.

## What the video shows

At Plymouth Campground on the Columbia, Daniel calls onion peeling "the most handy, most commonly used tool in my entire toolbox" and ties it to neuroplasticity. He says video journaling and later re-watching are how you get there. It shows the 2020 tool tested by two more years of use.

> it's the most handy, most commonly used tool in my entire toolbox

> This is the reflection video for Volume 1, Episode 7.

From the YouTube description: Why Do I Do What I Do? ([full description on YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eg7-P25BU8))

## The asxer angle

An asxer gives an owner the same practice in a new form. Because it answers from what the owner has actually written and recorded, the owner can ask it what they have said before and notice what they keep missing. Re-watching yourself is still the method; the asxer just makes the archive easy to search.

In the books: Trilogy 01.07, Prime 139.
