# What Daniel Comp's 2023 Video Teaches Asxer Owners About Meaning Beyond the Job

On 2023-02-16, Daniel Comp published "SCOTOMAVILLE 03.02 - Roped-up to Escape Tyranny" on YouTube. GB places it in Mission 4, Meaning Beyond the Job, one of five missions in the whole-library reading What 13 Years of Video Says to SI.

## What the video shows

Daniel teaches that escaping tyranny means roping up with mentors and peers who can "arrest your fall," and that "In order to lose your blind spots you have to find out where you're blind." He leans on Seth Godin's idea of a shared lexicon. It is the community answer to isolation.

> they'll be able to arrest your fall.

> This episode is on roped-up, on self-authoring, on self-reflection video modeling, on the process of transformation by the renewing of our mind.

From the YouTube description: Escaping tyranny takes more than luck. ([full description on YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMt4CX37XJ8))

In the books: Trilogy 03.02.
