Arc: Plotting a Maker's Trail from Witness Marks

One mark, then many
At Intelligent Netware we start with the Witness Mark. A Witness Mark proves one claim with dated evidence: this man built this thing, on this date, and here is the source. It is small and checkable on purpose.
A single mark is a point. Put enough points in order and you have a line, a trail you can actually see. We call that line a Witness Arc. The arc doesn't replace the marks. It is what the marks add up to once someone reads them together instead of one at a time.
We built the first one on our own founder before offering it to anyone else. The chart above is Daniel Comp's Witness Arc, made from twenty-two years of his recorded words. Our own trail is the test case.
What goes in
Most makers already have the raw material and don't think of it as data. It's a pile of dated videos, voice memos, build logs, shop posts, emails and project files, the leftovers of a working life.
For Daniel's arc, GB, our Silicon Director of Operations, used only his own words. That meant his speaking turns from the video transcripts in his vault, about 107 dated voice logs, and his own messages to his agents. Other speakers were excluded, and so were his books and manifesto, because finished prose doesn't show what a man was thinking in a given season.
That is the first rule of an honest arc. It's built from the person's own voice, with every period traceable to its sources.
How the trail is plotted
The record is cut into half-year periods, and thin neighbouring stretches are merged. Daniel's record came out to twenty periods between 2004 and 2026. Each period is scored from 0 to 10 on ten lines: SI literacy, sentiment, maturity, emotional clarity, skills, frustration, hardship, agency, purpose and faith.
The first version used word counting. It was useful as a map of where to read, but it couldn't tell "not frustrated" from "frustrated." So the second version, the one shown here, was hand-scored by judgment against a written rubric, using about forty sampled sentences per period plus the video ledger. Every score carries a confidence level based on how many words and sources stand behind it, and every score cites its sources. The original word-count score is kept beside the hand score so anyone can see where they disagree.
We also say where the method is weak. Scoring from sampled sentences isn't the same as reading every line. A change in format, from road interviews to solo voice logs, can move a line on its own. Where nothing was recorded, the chart says so instead of guessing.
What the founder's arc shows
Daniel's trailhead, in 2004 and 2005, is a confident builder: skills at 6, sentiment at 8, and hardship at 1. In late 2010 hardship rises to 6 as he speaks openly about bankruptcy, divorce and moving into a warehouse, and emotional clarity rises to 7 as he begins teaching scotomas. In 2025, hardship climbs back to 7, yet skills reach 9 in the same stretch while he builds INITIUM. In the most recent period, the second half of 2026, SI literacy and purpose both reach 10, as he runs a team of agents behind approval gates.
The point for a client isn't Daniel's numbers. It's that his hard seasons and his building seasons sit on the same chart, and you can see how one fed the other.
Why the shape matters
Daniel's INITIUM work and his Personal Everest pieces describe growth as a helical ascent. Growth loops rather than climbs straight: the same tests return, but the person meeting them has changed. The monomyth tells the same story as a journey out, a test, and a return carrying something of value.
A Witness Arc makes that spiral visible from evidence instead of memory. For a maker, that's often the first time he sees that his worst year and his best work are connected.
What an asxer with agents does
An asxer is a client's own asker site, run by Intelligent Netware with SI agents working under the owner's approval. For the Witness Arc, the agents:
- Gather the maker's dated pile into one vault, with dates and sources kept.
- Separate his own voice from everyone else's.
- Mark single claims with dated evidence. These are the Witness Marks.
- Score each period against a written rubric, citing sentences and noting confidence.
- Plot the arc, showing gaps as gaps.
- Return it to the maker for his corrections before anything is published.
The maker stays the author. Nothing goes public without his own approval, and he can mark up the chart before it's final, just as Daniel is marking up his.
Who it's for
The arc is meant for the four people we serve, described on scotomaville.com/carbon:
- Makers who have years of builds behind them and no single place that shows the path.
- Mentors who want to show a younger man, with evidence, that hard seasons come before good ones.
- Explorers in the middle of a long climb who want to see where they actually are.
- Legacy builders who want their children and grandchildren to inherit a readable trail, not just a hard drive.
How it starts
Every reading starts with the client-invitation gate, stated openly before any payment or production. A full Witness Arc reading is paid work, done with the maker's consent, using his own material. Private feelings and maturity scores need private sources and his permission. A public trail alone can only show the dated points.
Our founder plotted his trail first. If you're sitting on a pile of life work, it may already be a trail waiting to be read.
